8/27/2010 5:00:08 PM Signal today reversed - go long. Been pretty accurate so far this year. NOTE ADDED: A good confirmation (actually a good primary signal) is to see the ROC(12) go negative for long positions and cross into positive territory for short positions. |

Uploaded with ImageShack.us As a "Johnny Come Lately" I just discovered the thread. Great observation on the VIX. Here it is with a Triangular MA(34) which does a good job of getting the meat of each move, if not the absolute tops and bottoms. Thanks for the heads up. |

9/24/2010 9:24:22 AM Maybe, maybe not. Futures are going ballistic, so you might get in at a good point. As I suggested a few posts earlier in this thread, I would wait for the cross of the ROC(12) above 0 on the stockcharts chart. This is a good primary signal (or confirmation of the MA crossover) and helps to reduce the risk of whipsaws. |
