I recently went further and I transferred the concept of "holygrail" on VXX/SPY ratio.

I've been using it for couple weeks now - results are pretty good - including some decent profits.
I really like volatility to get the market sentiment - much more than any index - because the have less noise.

Is this system still in play and is there a variation with SPY VIX? Did this hit a wall in 2010?
