Hi, I'm a beginner and trying to figure out how to search stocks that in the last N-days are going flat with all the highs and lows forming a sort of box with candles having a very similar range.
Maybe that once the price has gone in one direction or the other (away from the box) is possible that the stock is taking a trend.
 Thanks for any help

Maybe SFs Darvas Box meet your need, see filter below. Ed S.

 Hi nibor100

Where do I find details about the 'Darvas Box' indicator? I dont' see it in 'Indicators and Measures' or in 'Filter Phrases'. I searched also with the Search funcion but I didn't find the details (I saw a lot of post citing 'Darvas Box' but not as a SF's indicator ...).

Thanks in advance for any advice.

Best wishes for the coming 2025 ... Cheers from Italy. LP

 Hi nibor100

I was able to find the details about 'Darvas Box' at the following link - https://yepher.com/stockfetcher/command-cmddoc.html

Strange I cannot find it here on SF site ... Maybe I didn't search as needed ...

Best wishes again. Cheers from Italy

...from my experience (for what it's worth) over several years there are at least 2 nuances to using the Darvas Box approach.

First, there is a qualitative difference between those stocks that "break" the box and those that "clear" the box; the latter tend to be the best short-term performers.

Next, the "box" is best used in conjunction with another filter to create a detailed "model" of a stock's past and probable future movement.
