  is it possible to make a filter that finds decreasing price ranges 
 
 I want a filter that will be good for straddles

 Many traders, including myself, have come to rely on the "Bollinger squeeze" pattern for a potential breakouts. The B.S. that we're so fond of (especially around here *wink wink*) can be easily located using the predefined measures—Bollinger Width, Bollinger Oscillator, & Bollinger %B—provided in the Index section.

 The following filter will screen for stocks that broke either above or below their respective Bollinger band following a "squeeze":
 
  	    Here's a slight variation of the above filter that will fetch a bigger catch:
