I want to build a filter for when +DI(14) crosses above the last year's highest point of -DI(14).

So let's say for stock X over the past 12 months, the highest -D(14) ever got was 40. I want to build a screener that would show me if/when +DI(14) crosses above 40.

Much appreciation and thanks for anyone who can help me with this.

The 40 was just an example. I'm trying to figure out how to create a filter showing when a variable crosses over the 52 week high of another variable.

What is your reasoning for looking at this?

I'll save you some bad trades, ditch the ADX. Has anyone seriously made money from it more often that not? In my opinion it's just another whimsy indicator. Use it as a tool, not a signal.

Take it from someone whose made a fortune in this realm, THE KING

It is not about what I use or don't use. Trading / investing is a personal thing.
What works for me probably won't work for you. I was not looking down on
you for what you are doing, just curious what you were trying to accomplish
by looking at that type of setup.

I for one am always trying to learn. I tell people in my swing trading group
on FB that I learn more from them than they do from me. That is the
 truth.

That is why I am here, to learn from others. I am simple and modest
enough to admit that. I don't have the answers to trading. I make a
little money along the way and try to help others.

Your insights into trading might make a light bulb go off in my head, that
 is why I ask.
